  • African Black Soap is known as a natural cleanser:  It can be used on all skin types. Our bars are fragrance free, and made with Unrefined Shea Butter, roasted plantain skin, palm oil and palm kernel oil.  These ingredients contain antioxidants and moisturizing properties that provide the soap with the medicinal qualities for which it’s known for.   
  • Raw Unrefined Shea butter:  Natural Shea Butter is an excellent natural moisturizer.  It contains Vitamins A, E, and F and also helps to promote healing  dry, itchy and inflamed skin. Shea butter also contains anti-inflammatory properties which help to keep your skin from becoming easily irritated, which is a common problem for eczema sufferers. Shea butter can also be used to form a protective barrier on the skin, preventing flare ups from allergens, from dust and other irritants, that  cause the skin to become itchy and inflamed.

  • A 2010 study found that due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, Shea butter was anti-inflammatory. One compound in particular, lupeol cinnamate, was found to reduce skin inflammation and even potentially help to avoid skin mutations. This also makes it beneficial for some people with acne, helps to rid stretch marks, under-eye wrinkle remover plus many other uses.
  • Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids which protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long-term use, many people reported skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction.

I have been using Black Soap for many years. I love this particular soap and the quality is excellent, and 
the best thing about it is it's healing my seborrheic dermatitis that was present for two years. I lathered up in the shower and left it on for about 5 minutes.  I use it about every other days depending on how I feel. This is working where the prescription shampoo I had did not work for me. Prescription shampoo either did very little or over time seemed to make it worse.
With this Black Soap, you feel it working right away. Afterwards it leaves your skin glowing and soft. As far as the dermatitis goes, it's the only thing that takes away the pain, itching, and burning. It may or may not work for others, but for me, I'm glad to find something that heals a long standing issue.
